Looking forward to it. When Herb’s layout first appeared in CTT my own layout was just beyond tracklaying stage. This layout article and photo spread probably inspired me more than any I had seen. Definately had a big impact on the direction my layout took. I became more focussed on creating a more scenic RR but not overly cluttered. His layout featured 2 RR’s and the scenic portions fit in well with the eastern roads he modeled.
In a followup in CTT I believe he had an article on creating a downtown area and a large factory. Pretty sure I saw it featured on ther TV show Tracks Ahead as well. If there was a landmark Hi Rail layout in the early 90’s this was it.
