Heritage Steam in the Mallee region of Victoria

A special passenger train with two VR K class 2-8-0s was run into the north west of Victoria recently. The K class was introduced in 1922 as a light version of the main line C class of 1918, Initially ten were built, but more were built during World War II for use on light branch lines which make up much of the network even now.
