VIA Rail has awarded the Budd Car maintenace contract to Herzog after being less than impressed with Edmonton-based A&B Rail who took over to Point Hope Shipyards when they went bankrupt. Herzog will be taking over maintenance of the RDC’s in July. They will continue to use the CPR shops in Victoria.
So are they going to wait until July before the RDC gets fixed?

No, A&B Rail, the current contractor will be doing the work until July.
No busses. VIA Rail is using the other RDC, 6135. 6133 has too many missing parts, so the 6135 will be running solo.
Oh, I didn’t realize that the other RDC was still in running condition.
At least they have the backup, then.
