Hey dingoix. This ones for you man.

Allan.

that’s a great pic- i can’t wait until BNSF paints some GP38-2’s w/ the new logo-- here’s a link to the new Athearn BNSF H3 SD40-2 http://www.athearn.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=ATH80174

this covered hopper w/ the new logo looks cool http://www.athearn.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=ATH72343

You know, that’s actually not that bad…

I Pre-ordered for both those BNSF SD40-2’s. I can’t wait to get them too. As for the BNSF GP38-2’s. Give Athearn time. Allan.

i e-mailed Athearn about a GP38-2 w/ the new logo a few weeks ago and they said they’d forward it to the product research dept.- how much will the new SD40-2 cost? my LHS will probobly have them for around $50-$60

Man, I do really dig the logo[8D

]. Looks killer on that switcher. Sure doesnt look like 3 or 4 decade old work horse[:D]

that switcher almost looks too nice to use

It does!!! I really like the new BNSF logo!!!

Oy, thats the one engine that looks cool with that logo. Look at that battered Santa Fe over in the corner. Doesnt that look like a SW1000 or atleast a SW1500?

Alec

the Santa Fe engine that’s right behind the switcher w/ the new logo almost looks like a SD40-2

I am ordering mine from Firsthobby for $53.99. If you want them. Pre-order now.
Allan.

Man, I already have the new logo AC4400CW, but these little SD40-2s look real nice!!!

That switcher with the New Logo is awesome, but it looks like something is left out; like there is too much orange. Maybe it’s just me.

The old yellow-bonnet Santa Fe looks like an SD40-2 or a GP38-2 at least!!!

Call me crazy, but I prefer patched BN’s and ATSF’s over the new scheme.

Actually, I like H2(?)pretty well…er, whatever this is :

Me two.

It will probably take a while for the new logo to grow on me. For now I hope they are extremely slow about applying it to older equipment. I would hate to see the older Executive MACs painted right away. [:(]

I thought I read somewhere that AC4400 #5603 was in fact painted in the new look, with the only exception being green in stead of black. Any photos of it around?

here’s #5603 – i’m pretty sure the old Santa Fe in the corner is an SD40-2 beacause of the large front “porch”

WOW! [:O]

Looky there! There is a prototype for everything!

Even paper towel roll silos! [:D]

Looks like i typed it wrong. I know its an SD40-2, im talking about the switcher.

alec

nice eye NS2317 but those aren’t paper towel roll silos- they are carboard tubes about twice as thick as paper towel rolls- i will paint them white sometime
