so i was running it indoors with a new controller type and it came around i smell a wierd smell comes back around theres a burned melted hole in the top and white smoke coming out i shut her down unplugged it all but i think its trashed now idk anyone got any clues as to what happened this was the SD60-m
Can you post pictures? Was it otherwise running OK up until you stopped it?
Also, was this decoder equipped? Decoders can get very hot sometimes, though it would be rare for one to get so hot to melt plastic unless it shorted out…but then the engine would normally stop moving.
