High Definition video

Purchased a Blu-ray copy of Western Winter Wonderland from Marcam Productions. It is of course in widescreen and 1080P (and as my TV is native 720P, the player converts the HDMI output to that resolution). The scenery is truly stunning and the snow varies from light flurries to near whiteout conditions in areas such as Stevens Pass. The video quality is truly stunning in clarity.

This is more than mere run bys and 3/4 roster shot perspective video. The locomotives share the stage with the rugged sittings and the weather. UP, BNSF, and Amtrak are featured in addition to some regional railroads. Perspective is both track side and on board, close ups as well as zoomed out views using the scenery to frame and enhance the video. There are 4 high definition audio tracks ranging from natural train sounds with narration and background music, natural sounds only, music only, and one other.

Looking to buy one of their 4449 and 844 Blu-ray DVDs also. Incredible video and I found it more enjoyable than the familiar presentation of a Pentrex offering ( no that they are inferior, just different in a good way).
