I recently got a High Speed Metal Products Southern Pacific Gondola in N scale. At first I thought this thing will never be able to survive my 9.75’’ radius curves, then I started to mess around with it. There were some little tabs that stuck up on both sides of the trucks where it attatches to the bolster that severly limited the flexibility of trucks. I popped out the wheels and cut the tabs off with a hobby knife. The trucks turned better but the were still tight as heck. I pryed up ward on the trucks with a jewlers screw driver on one side untill it almost popped off on that side then popped it back down and repeated the process all the way around both trucks. I now run it as part of my operational fleet. I must say that I love the detail of it.
Budweiser’s not following.
Also, the 8 logo in your avatar is a registered trademark of DEI and even if Teresa gives up the number, the company will not turn over the rights to the logo design.
Of course, Riki Rachtman never tells you that.
Now back to model railroading.
