High speed rail workshop scheduled for January

HSR functions only when it’s the best way, not a substitute for driving to the mall or going to school each day, or to Grandma’s for Thanksgiving feasting.
Allow this: It’s morning in midtown Oakland and I’ve got to sign paper on a real estate deal at 10 o’clock in LA. I caused the alarm to not function and it was 6:15 when I woke.
No breakfast, fast drive and park at Oakland International, credit card in ticket machine, board, mini-skirted PSA stew’ supplied coffee, and I’m greeting my wife at 8:10 at Burbank Aerodrome.
Now: be available at the TSA portal about 2 hours prior to departure, the flight’s traffic, ground and air, congestion and any baggage delivery delay…well, the trip time, not counting going to and coming from the airports, is 3hrs.
With no stops L.A to S.F. on HSR beats that time.
W/o intermediate stops planes don’t need to fly to provide LA to SF transportation, likewise HSR.
HSR, Bay Area to L.A. Basin makes sense; local stopping trains don’t.

High Speed rail is one of the buzz words for the United Nations Agenda 21. This will result in taking away your freedom as an American. I love trains as much as the next guy, but I love freedom more. Look up Agenda 21 and be informed.

Mr. Carlin forgot to mention the common early morning fog coming in from the Pacific Ocean that delays flights in the Bay Area and LA. Hopefully fog will not affect HSR.
