Does anybody have a web site address for highliner/highliners? When will they be releasing the FP-7 shell mod kits?

What makes you think that they will be releasing an FP7 shell mod kit? In order to mod a Highliner F-shell into an FP shell, you’d have to cut it up a couple different ways (both in front and behind the prime mover)…and the Highliner shell doesn’t exactly have a lot of material in it in the first place as it’s a little delicate. IOW, you start cutting it up and it’s not going to go back together like an Atlas F-unit shell. For them to do any FP (or even FL) types, IMHO it would be all new tooling.
Besides, if anyone was going to have the resources to produce an FP, it wouldn’t be Highliner. After all, Athearn is the one that finally got the Highliner A-unit to market after years of “A units Coming Soon!” ads in MR and RMC.

I can’t find a Highliner website, but the new conversion kits are listed on Walthers’s website. It looks like the release date is still TBA. I wonder if this means Athearn might bring one out in the future?[:)]
How about the Intermountain FP7 due in September?
Intermountain FP7’s came out last year. They are not new.
Here is how you cut up two Highliner F7’s to make one FP7… I think Highliners new kit will make it easier to put it back together and make a FP7. Maybe they will even include one half of the body so you don’t have to buy two F7 kits plus an FP7 kit??? Wouldn’t that be nice [:)]
Wow. I am surprised to say the least. I wouldn’t think that making an FP7/9 out of a Highliner shell would be in the realm of $20 kit.

I just got a reply back from Intermountain about unpainted FP’s. That is probably the route I will take.
The undecorated FP7’s are expected to be available in June or July.
