History Channel - Freight Trains

History Channel’s Modern Marvel’s program has ‘Freight Trains’ on now (7/11/07 - 2000 EDT)

To be repeated at 11 PM tonight Central Time

Caught the second half–I’ve seen it before.

The usual unnerving business of speeding up and slowing down things, and a few questionable numbers–otherwise very impressive, and better than the “Boneyards” thing I endured a couple of weeks ago. They talked to people who knew a little about railroads.

why did you like Boneyard?

Are they still showing the show? If yes, what date & time?

I Liked the part during the railway boneyard episode about the chicago heights company that recycles rail as I have been by there a few times and wondered what they did with all that rail I just figured they remelted it didn’t know that they rerolled into sign post and garage door channel

I liked the brief clips showing CB&Q F Units.

Personally, I think last nights piece on the History Channel on Freight Trains was much better than the Boneyard segment.

The Boneyard one was alright, but I was hoping they’d go to one of the loco re-builders, like Larry’s or someplace like that. The one about military stuff the other night was better.
