I finally finished painting my Dunkirk engine. No longer big John. I am pretty happy with the wway it came out. We also had a nice 65 degree day yesterday. Perfect day to test the engine out. I only had to dig out the back of the layout from a snow drift that does not want to go away.

Dunkirk on the display track with the wood sides and without(I think I like it without the wood sides).

I also painted the inside and addeda little detail

Nice picture’s way better without the wood side’s and with ALL thw driver’s on the track, Photo’s tell all.

Yikes! Derailment ahead! (lol) I too like the sideboards gone. Looks like it needs something small siting on the deck. Maybe a toolbox? Or lunch box?

I agree it does need something on the side. A tool box would look good

Since it’s a logging engine I assume…maybe have some of the larger tools used for logging(I think Ozark has them) tied down somewhere, if you cant find a decent toolbox…I’ve seen it done on a few similar engines, and it doesn’t look too bad in my opinion.
