B.E.S.T. Bollinger Edgerly Scale Trains. They make 3 tabs and a whole lot more. They’re adhesive backed and work very well. Check out their website.
Finally recieved an answer from JTT Scenery and they said the packages have been mismarked as HO. They told me to get the N scale shingles as they are correct scale for HO??. They plan to change the labels on future packages. Glad to see some progress in this. However, since getting some ot their shingles, even if wrong scale, I don’t like the detail quality and will look into the B.E.S.T shingles and GC Laser’s.
Thanks for the input.

Update:
I ordered and received 3 tab black shingle from GCLaser and they are great! Hope to start ‘roofing’ today.
On another note about scale of these products; I picked up a couple of packs of stryene HO brick sheets in the clearance box at the LHS. Got them home and measured the bricks and these are oversize too. They aree actually 1:64 scale and not 1:87?? I have some left over brick sheet from Holgate & Reynolds from years ago and they are really nice and to scale. Don’t know if they are still made, haven’t checked. My suggestion to everyone is try to measure the size of these products and see if they are indeed the correct size for your scale. Very dissapointing in finding so many items either mislabeled or just not made to true scale.

Finally finished roofing the model of my childhood home in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. I finally got the knack of it and it went smoothly then. I didn’t realize how many architectural roof features were on that house until I had to shingle it? Overall, I am very happy with the results. I had to purchase ridge cap shingles as well as the 3-tab ones.

Wow, very nicely done. You can almost smell Mom’s home cooking from the kitchen.
Thanks Mister Beasley, and you are right about smelling her cooking, she was a great one! I can still smell the pot roast.
I have to get the ladder out and fix that bent up shingle on the left side! Must have kicked it with my foot last time I was up there!

Hi Bob,
That looks great. Those shingles really make the building look great.

Thanks for all your comments. I am really happy with the results; it is my first scratch built using stryene and purchased windows. I need to concentrate on finishing the yard and fitting it into my layout.

That turned out really well, Bob. [tup]

It’s beautiful Bob. It looks like it was worth the effort to get the proper shingles. They really make the project.

Thanks again to all for the comments. I am very happy with the results and as some have mentioned, the shingles were worth the effort as they did ‘finish the model off’. I am now anxious to try another scratch built structure.
