Going into summer, there almost has to be a fire sale. The non-sound units
may get cheaper too especially if DC guys buy the 28 Sound Button Quantum Engineer.
Like an analog hearing aid, cheap but still gets the job done.

Is the 8-40 B or BW equipped with the same sound unit?
I had to advance-reserve mine back in December (2004) - I suspect Atlas under-estimated the demand for these sound-equipped models.
HOLY COW!!! I love how those ditch lights move back and forth. Also, I think I would have it in UP, BNSF ATSF.
I wonder if I can install sound on my analog model… does Atlas sell these units as spare parts?
The Soundtraxx Tsunami, when it becomes available (~3-6 months), will work with both DC and DCC models.
Do the ditch lights flash when it’s run in DC mode as they do in DCC when the horn is operated, anybody know ???
Chuck,Had I known Atlas would be making the QE I would have held off buying my Digi Traxx Empire Builder II…For what I wanted DCC for that EB II is overkill for the size layout I am building…
