It’s a Walthers kit…You can tell by the coupler mounts.
I believe that type was discontinued.

I think the swing coupler mounts were also available as a separate part. May still be available…?
I wonder why the underframe is broken off and missing. It probably runs OK, but looks like it’s led a hard life.
thank you…I have a newer Walthers & the coupler is different
purchased a number of them at swap meet, they are not bad…just need a little TLC
new wheels new KDs & should be good to go
may try making a underframe for it down the road
Walthers series 4950 89ft flat car should fit it, maybe a little mod.,if You can find one.

If that was a Walthers 89ft Auto Rack, the 89ft Intermodel flat car chassis is the same. The ones You have look like they were bashed from different parts, it doesn’t have the steel weight on it either. Here are the plans for the 89ft flat car…If You read the first page, where it says on Your Layout, it will explain the Auto Rack.

EDIT: I just looked at mine, I have a lot of my rolling stock put away, rather than collect dust from my redoing part of it…any way, the only differance in the chassis is the weight, no indents on the coupler ends, they are square, like in Your pic’, if in fact that is a weight.
