I need some HO decals for the “Harvest Gold” paint schme for MEC in Maine. Does anyone know a source ?

You might try Highball Graphics, they specialize in New England Roads and have a number of Maine Central freights cars, have not checked their locomotive offerings.

Microscale has a number of MEC loco decals, including the harvest gold scheme. 87-935 is a good one to take a look at.

One thing to check on before you buy; be sure the decal set will work with the locomotive type you want to decal. The stripes are a complex curve around the nose, and some decals will work with only certain locomotives. Other decal sets (like the one I noted above) contain a number of stripes that will fit various locos, just be sure you select the correct stripe before you cut.
Accucals have been out of business for a long time, but you may find some of their sets at train shows or on-line.

I know what you mean by checking the curve of the loco but I had hoped that since MEC was mostly U23B’s and GP40’s , that MS would have accomodated that on their sheets…let’s hope so when I evntually get some.
