Anyone have an Idea where I can find a nice Firestaion for an HO layout something like a standard American Firestation with 2 or more garage doors.
Also I would like it to cost less then my first born child so like under 75.00 us.
I would prefer it to be like a brick structure.
I think Boley makes something like that. Go to the Advanced Search page on Walthers’s website. The scale, select HO. For catagory, select Structures. And for manufacturer, type in 185. Or, instead of 185 for manufacturer, type in fire in the key words section.

Just a blurb here: I’ve always been partial to the Lifelike “Hampden Fire House #46” http://www.ehobbies.com/1000-7743.html.
It has pretty good detail (although you’ll want to replace the outside stair railing and the flag pole), and as you can see is rather inexpensive. I had one on a former layout, which I think I purchased and assembled 25 years ago, so this kit’s been around awhile (this kit also forms the basis of the LL bank and the LL police station)
Also, I’ve always liked the rather nice looking bay doors, and the funky planter out in front…
I just completed an IHC Fire Station. At first I was hesitant as the picture on the front cover gave it a very European accent. But I was quite happy when I sat down and put the model together as these accents including the peaked roof were optional. Overall it was a simple, straight forward and inexpensive kit. At least IHC is keeping the hobby reasonably inexpensive!
Heljan made one years ago that can still be found at train shows and on eBay. It takes very little to make it look more American.

Here is a photo of the IHC I built last month. The weathering isn’t finished but the brick work was done as a result of MR’s article on painting buildings a couple of months ago. I’m hoping to find a cheap wrist watch that will fit on the clock face on the top of the building.
I also have a police station by bachmann that I have painted as a fire station. Has two garage doors and molded brick appearance. Looks good either way you use it (police or fire), I try post pics later.
I like the station FergmiesterI it very nice. I have a station I cmpleted its the Hampden staion it even had a logo on it “BFD” which was nice thats my Depts initials but afteer I completed it I really didnt like it I dont think Kitbashing will help.
To tell you the truth I had my doubts on this one when I first started. But what I’ve learned over the years, especially working on ships, is that “Paint hides a multiple of sins”.
There are a couple of areas on the building that are less than perfect. My intent is to brush on glue and sprinkle red and green foliage along the glue lines. This will simulate a vine growing up the walls. Thus hiding those areas that still bother me.

To get exactly what you want go to your locale hobby shop and buy a pack of plastic brick, the style doors and windows you want, and some styrene and build it. Making your own buildings to your needs is not hard and its your own creation. Take a photo or look in a book to find the style station you want, or picture it in your mind and go for it. When your done and you have just what you wanted in design you will be much happier than going out and buying something just to have a fire station on your layout.
Wow Fergmiester… you just showed me what the flat roofed version of my “Art Gallery” looks like. I actually found an OLD AHM firehouse (same as the IHC firehouse) 
I already had the Hampdon firehouse but thought with those doors it would make a nice Art Gallery.
Pikestuff make a 3 door station. It would fit in a rural or suburban setting. If you feel like it you can always build one from scratch with parts from Design Preservation Models. Good luck to you.
The problem with the Pikestuff station is that there are no crew quarters, at least it does not look like it to me. It would work for a volunteer station, however, it would need an addition to represent a station that is staffed.
Hard to believe the two are the same! It sure through me for a loop! Amazing what a bit of paint will do to get rid of that plastic look.
One thing I’ve noticed there is no two fire stations that look alike in my neck of the woods, which makes this a good fit.
We have here a HS in Oldenburg, named Gunters Car Company.
He offers two fire stations, one is a modern, let´s say Californian style, the other is a brick house.
He says that they are made exclusive for his shop.
He has no webpage. I search for the offers - I have the papersheets at home and make scans.

I especially like the fire station from Carlisle, PA, since that is where our older daughter went to college. I plan to buy one as soon as I can afford it and add a weathervane with a fireman shouting into a megaphone. Valley Model Trains also offers turn out coats and other gear for the interior.
