One of the truck covers on my HO Kato GP35 Union Pacific has broken mounting pins. I’ve trid to fix it but it keeps falling off over time. I found on eBay some Atheran truck covers that look identical on the outside. There’s no picture of the mounting side. Wondering if they will fit my Kato.

No, unfortunately, Athearn truck sides will not work. Athearn had a completely different way of mounting the trucks sides, and the reason they look identical on the outside is because they are based off the same truck type (EMD Blomberg)
That’s what I was afraid of. Thanks for your reply. I’ll keep searching for some Kato side frames.
Dug thru my parts/junk drawers and found an Athearn Blomberg sideframe and as Yellow Tank Car said, won’t fit the Kato GP35 truck. Kato USA still have a small number of parts available for their GP35s. Might require buying the entire truck assembly, that was the case when I broke the AAR type side frame on my Kato NW2, didn’t bug me too much as needed a couple new geared axles and now I’ve a spare sideframe.
