Ho motor

Hi I have a HO engine I got when I was a kid probably late 60s early 70s it is made in Yugoslavia and has a circle with ATT inside of it .It does not work I am wondering what kind of motor it takes and where can I get one it also needs the little rubber bands that go on the drive wheels Thanks in advance Dan.

ATT - American Train and Tracks, long out of business. Toy like models, probably not worth fixing. You could look for a similar one on eBay or at local train shows and use the motor from it. I doubt if the motor is made to be easily replaced.

It’s a long shot but I’m sure the loco has sentimental value for you instead of repowering you could maybe “dummy” it and still use it in a train behind a powered loco.I’m not familiar with the make but as long as it’s couplers are more or less compatible with youe other equipment this could be a possibility. One other option is repowering it with the drive from and old athearn RDC car they were a rubberband drive and may be able to be converted for use on your loco. Good luck. TB.
