HO rerailer and cork

Has anyone else run into the issue that the code 100 Atlas rerailer is wider than the cork? Is this a reason simply not to use the rerailer? I just stumbled across this last night while beginning to lay the track. Does anyone have a solution?

I use ‘rerailers’ at the entrance to my staging tracks. As you discovered, they are wider than the cork roadbed. Will this affect operation? Not that I can see. Now if you are using them as ‘grade crossings’, you can build up the cork under them and extend it as the base for a highway.
