Well as I showed on the wpf thread I was working with Monograms Mini Exacts and added detailing like black grills chrome etc etc. Well today I finished the 2 cars I wanted to add decals to. I made these using my Alps printer and a lot of time.I’m still thinking of getting some hot rod rims for them instead of Monograms rims… And here they are
loather they were Ho Scale cars thaat were produced in the late 80’s early 90’s I found all mine on ebay last yr or so. Now they are up in price. Herpa now has the works for them they are detailed beter than these, these where just colored plastic with chrome bumpers and that was it.
I got mine at a train show in the late '80’s for $3 or so. A few weeks later, one of the $1 stores had them!! 1 '89 Camero, 4 '89 T-Birds, 1 BMW, 1 Mazda RX7, 1 MB Gullwing!![^]
Gotta say I like the 57 as that is my favorite car, as one would see on my 1/24 wall of cars. The mustang is pretty good but the stripes need to be thinner and closer together I think to make it look really good.
I know what you mean about the stripes on the Mustang I used the lights as a guide I went through 9 sets of home made stripes to come up with that… I was thinking either thinner or thicker like the 4-4-2’s had (yup got the ones by Model Power) but oh well they are sealed in clear coat now and not wanting to try and strip it.
