Hello All I just posted a video on Youtube which I wanted to share of a PRR GG-1 with DCC loksound decoder making its way through my Modest Philadelphia layout (some parts still under construction) Under Live Catenary with some landmarks Pennsy fans might know of.

Come on, now. Never mind the cat. How could you manage to spell “Schuylkill” with only two “L’s”? [:$]
I also noticed that there was a derailment under the bridge coming out of 30th Street.
Now that was an amazing video.
Also my Husky would be glad to “take care of the cat” for you~ Just Kidding [A]
Great stuff as always. You just have to dump those horn couplers.
As we’d say, growing up on this side of the other side of the tracks: Not too shabby!

Great layout and video! I have a couple of questions just out of curiousity. Did you scratch build the catenary? Also, how the heck do you reach in to recover a derailment? Boggles my mind!
Dave
Neat!
those of us, who take the care to build up a working catenary on their layouts, certainly have my sincere respect!

I too would love to read a detailed article on how you built your own catenary. That is a stunning layout.
I liked the cat by the way, could have been my house.
Hey guys Im glad allot of you enjoyed that video and either hating or loving the cat who just had to get into the video. The cat ,which was my sons cat ,was bannished to the basement after tearing up the rest of the house and was about to gotto the SPCA. I felt sorry for the sucker so I allowed it to live in the basement. We have an understanding She doesnt touch my stuff and she wont get put out. She has been living in the basement for almost a year now and hasn’t jumped on the layout yet. Theres really no place to jump most of the layout is wall to wall buildings The catenary on the otherhand. Im building a small two track catenary extension and I will document its construction for an article on my website. Check it out in a month or so
Excellent modeling. Really looks like Philadelphia. 30th St Station is very good. Fantastic catenary.
Good photography too.
Very nice.
First, on the Wayne Electric shops, I really liked the beams on the ceiling. Was that a kit or did you model that yourself?
Second, I really liked the pan shot across the roof tops. It looked really cool.

Great looking layout with a lot of time and skill put into its construction. One minor point. There is usually only one of the pick ups raised when running from overhead. The one raised was usually at the opposite end from the running direction.
Hey come on, he DID say “live CATenary”
