This is a kit made by HELJAN, it’s a satellite receiving station but this one is different as i motorised it for some fun when the layouts built. i used wet patching plaster rubbed in the mortar lines with my finger and then a damp paper towel to gentaly remove the surface residue only leaving nice cemented joints.
This is the (almost) finished model
This is the motor, it’s an RC servo with all the electronic gubbins and the rotation limiter ripped out so it goes round nice and slow, it is a push fit in the 1" foam with a couple of dab’s of PVA glue to hold it in place
And the building section just drops on top for easy access, the pin’s locate in the four way thingy which is also an RC part
This is the the station in the dark with some lights on, it will look great on it’s hillside
