HO Spectrum 2-10-2 questions

I’m thinking about getting this engine but since I don’t have a LHS anywhere near me I was wondering how well it handled #4/medium turnouts?

How well does it run in general?

The one I’m looking at is DCC sound equipped. Does this model have the Tsunami decoder?

Will it fit a 90 foot turntable?

Thanks,

Jarrell

I don’t have one, but I would check Bachmann’s web site and see what radius they say it can negotiate; but keep in mind that just because they might say it can go around an 18 inch radius doesn’t mean that it’s going to stay on the track when doing so.

Bachmann Spectrum models with sound are using a custom built SoundTraxx Tsunami decoder.

Thanks for the info, cacole. I have their 2-8-0 with Tsunami sound and love it. It’s become my favorite steam engine, even surpassing the BLI’s and Proto 2000’s I have.

Hmmm,

Sounds similar to the topic I posted yesterday about the Spectrum 2-10-2. Here is the link to everything you need.

Goes to show great minds think alike! [:D]

Thanks for the link.

checking on the web shows the spectrum 2-10-2 is 12.75 inches long . that’s about 92 feet , so it should just fit on a 90 foot turntable , as long as the wheelbase is within 90 feet the overhang is allowable

I agree. My BLI Hudson is 13.5" from end-coupler to end-coupler, and it fits quite nicely on my 90’er.
