How much do you value your trains?
Technically, any old box can be adapted to store RR equipment. {I mean a pizza box is cheap and “free”, though greasy!}. I have kept the original boxes, but for easy access to “sets” of trains and freight cars, I use the Axian boxes.
The Axian boxes work very well, though not exactly a “good price” if you are looking for cheap…but even though my locos {14} are all Bachmann regular and Spectrum models {cheap to some people}, I consider the storage of my locos to be of major importance, and so the Axian boxes are worth it to me
