HO turntables

I Would appreciate any insight into what company’s offer a realiable DCC powered turntable.Has anyone experienced the turntable from the “City Station & Concourse” a company in Baltimore? Their web address is custommodelrailroads.com. If so, I would like any positive or negative info on their turntables that you could share with me.

Thanks,

Gary

The company name is actually Custom Model Railroads and the City Station and Concourse is just one of their products. I looked at the TTs and thought they were reasonably priced unless you want the indexing kit which almost triples the price. I recently installed a Walthers 130’ TT. It looks great and runs smoothly. I haven’t had it long enough to give you an opinion on it’s durabilty. The are coming out with a 90’ TT scheduled for next spring I believe.

I have one of the CMR tables. A fine unit. Pit and bridge detail is not extraordinary, but acceptable to me. The kit is made of clear acrylic, which is a bit disconcerting to work with at first, but is very precisely made, and goes together quite easily. I did not buy the indexing kit from New York Railway Supply (though I would if I had the money), but instead opted for the Berkshire Junction motorizing unit. It works very well, and since the prototype didn’t use automatic indexing, why should I?

Here’s a pic…
