Hi,
I am using Kato Unitrack (HO) and DCC (NCE Power Pro). The turnouts are set for non power routing.
I have noticed that sometimes when a sound loco goes over the frog the loco stops and the sound momentarily goes off. The loco then starts up again and carries on.
Is this due to the wheels shorting the loco when they touch both power sides of the frog at the same time?
It seems to happen more with six axle diesels. Most noticeably with a new Atlas Master SD24. Would putting a bit of clear lacquer on the frog to stop the short circuit help? It does not trip the power pro unit or affect other locos on other parts of the track.
Has anyone else had this problem and how did you get around it?
Thanks
Paul
