HO Walthers 90’ Turntable
Anyone have any opinions on these? I’m talking about the newer ones that MSRP for $300 and NOT the older ones that were lower grade and troublesome.
Thanks
Steve

I think there was an earlier thread on this and the perenially out-of-stock 130’ turntable and the consensus was pretty good.
I just bumped the thread that helped us. Our 130’ has been trouble free, and has not needed a reset. Worth every penny.

There are turntable kits, and there are also engine kits. I don’t know much about engine kits, but I didn’t have a good experience with the Walthers 90’ kit. So, I figured, is this part of my layout important enough to want to spend the time it will take to install this so that it works and looks like it belongs? Do I want to spend the equivalent price of a sound-equipped steam locomotive in HO? Well, I said to myself, “Crandell, if you answer no, what will you do with the hole you had cut out for the other 90’er?” Leaving alone that the roundhouse would also have been redundant, I figured I would forego my next planned purchase of a locomotive and get what promised to be the best alternative to the kit. Simply, I really wanted a functioning turntable, so I ponied up the money. I got a good price at the now-closed LHS because he had brought in four or five and had moved none of them. He wanted a sale.
Am I ever happy with my decision. [:D] I am quite certain that you will not look back, either.
I’ve build them in and I’m very satisfied. You can see ipictures .

Thanks for the fast responses. Don’t know how I missed the 130 TT thread- thanks that helped

Just buy it. You wont look back. I didnt. I own both 130’ plus the new 90’.
Got one of the Walthers 90’ turntable at $ 200.00 + shipping. It is just great, beats the two
cheap ones, that I had and never worked. If you have the space I would suggest the 130’ , the price on eBay would be about the same ($ 200.00). My Hudson’s just make the 90’ table
