I will be visiting the Bennington, VT area soon. I am looking for hobby shop recommendations in this area.

According to some other searches, there does not look like there is much around.

There use to be a nice train shop in Adams MA.

Used to live in Bennington, but the Western Auto that I got Lionel stuff at is probably long gone and they didn’t have much else as I remember.

Went to the top of this page to Resources and then to Find a Hobby Shop. Lists one in Albany. It also lists many in New York (state), if you know which towns/cities you will be near in NY, you could try them.
