Hobby Stores in Indianapolis Indiana

Well this is going to be an odd weekend for me. A friend and I are going down to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the first weekend of qualifications for the 500.

Here is where the train part comes in:

If it rains, Im going to be bored and don’t want to freeze sitting around all day. Can anyone from around Indianapolis, please let me know of any great hobby stores within a 50 mile radius of the Speedway. Preferrably for HO scale trains, and accessories.

Thank you,

DON

donny- Hope you get good weather for this weekend, but they are talking rain.
Bills Trains and Metzlers Hobbies are both pretty good, I know how to get there but not how to tell you. Check a phone book, that should help.
Enjoy the IMS.

When I lived in Indy I used to go to Train Central. It was a nice little shop.Although I havnt been there in many years

There are several listed with addresses on the Central Indiana Division web site at: http://cid.railfan.net/

In addition to what has been mentioned, off the top of my head there is Big Four Hobbies in Plainfield, HobbyTown USA in Castleton, and Train Central on E. Washington Street in Indy.

Have a good trip.

Hows about Big Boys Hobbies on the east side of Indy!!! Kevin

Since you said within 50 miles of the track, don’t forget Hawkin’s Rail Service in Lafayette. Have fun in the remains of the Snake Pit!
