Hobby & Train shop hours of operation

With two topics going on about hobby shops re:distance to travel and stock on hand, how about thier hours of operation. If you have customers with income to spend you should be open during the time they have to spent it.
11AM to 7PM,gets the lunch hour people and after work people M-F
10AM to 6PM gets everybody on Saturday
Noon to 5PM gets everybody on Sunday

If you as the operator wants 1 or 2 days off, take them during the week. You will have all the parks, fishing spots etc to your self as every else is at work.

Last thought is I you want to be in business, you need to be open when your customers are available to come to your store to BUY,That is what you are in business for,to sell products and make a living(profit).

YOU HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD, YOU WANT TO BE IN BUSINESS, THEN BE OPEN FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS TO BUY, BUT AT GOOD PRICES. BENNY[:)]

Well I throughly agree, I would love to know where they come up with their hours. Makes me want to ask them " ARE YOU ON DOPE!" - Mr. Hand - Fast Times at Ridgemount.

And when these owners who have stupid hours of operation complain about losing sales to Internet Stores, you know they have been smoking something.

Get a clue, Mr. and Mrs. Shop Owner. The people who work make money and spend money. Be open when the people who have some money can spend the money.

I travel about 30 miles to a store because they are open to 7:00pm most weekday nights.

I have already said what i think elsewhwere about hobby shops, they are only for novices and people who are trying to work out where they want to go. Do your thinking at home, that way you will avoid making decisions that sound like agood idea at the time, but in cold hard light of your wifes reaction, you wished you had never done it.

Incidentally I have made two really good purchases by mail from USA; one was Hillman clamps and the other was a result of one of Old Dads links, and that was Jigstones, they are very interesting

I have only had my moulds for a few weeks and already i have made two abutments, a small bridge, two arches for my viaduct and three pylons for my up ramp; all out of concreat blocks in square stone pattern, and all very interesting to look at.

So just forget hobby shops mates like I do.
