Home Made Engine Test Stand- for Cheap?

I find myself thinking it would be a good idea to have a static engine test stand, but when I looked online, I only found one D-I-Y version- and that was from a guy in Spain. There are commercial ones, but my budget can’t go there.

I then tried to use the “community search tool” on this page, but that brought no joy… (as usual).

Has anyone built one themselves- for cheap? I am not talking about investing in pre-built wheel stand parts (Micro mark), but from miniature metal roller bearings and other inexpensive parts (screws, wood base, etc?) available online and locally?

If so- please show me a photo and a brief decsriptive- I can take it from there.

Thanks,

Cedarwoodron

Google is a much better friend than the search option here. These forums are run by a low bid techie group.

And…there is indeed a previous thread on this. WITH a solution, apparently.

Not needed.

Ha, I shoulda thought of that, RC car roller bearings. I probably still have a ton from my old RC car. Genius.
