Homemade semiphore...

I model in N scale, and have been wanting a semiphore for my new depot for a while now. Anyway, last Monday I finally got around to going to the train shop to pick a few things up. While there I happened to remember the semiphore and went over and priced them. Just for the non-working models they wanted $20.00… So I came home, did a little research and built my own from scratch. There’s a couple of things I’m personally not happy with about it, but those that have seen it say it looks great.
The point is, I saved myself $20.00 and gave myself an excuse for all the paint, glue, balsa wood, etc that I keep on hand for such projects.

Do you build your own semiphores, targets signals and so forth ?.

not a semaphore, but I wanted a good looking road/rail crossing, and I started one (HO), never really finished it, using metal parts, and hole punches to make the signal
circles. MR had an article in an old mag so I tried it

I am not handy enough yet, stil a youngin, so I am looking at an already made semaphore for my new N scale railway. It’s not perfectly in period, but it looks good!
