I hope the FRA backs down and Indiana can finalize a deal with Iowa Pacific and Amtrak. Long term, I would like to see multiple frequencies extended to Louisville and Cincinnati, a daily Cardinal that includes a St. Louis section and operates via Richmond to improve connections to points south, and a Chicago-Florida service, route TBD.

I wonder if the good Ms. Feinberg has ever seen the inside of a passenger car, commuter or Amtrak, much less actually ridden in one to get from Point A to Point B.

I fail to see how this would apply to every state sponsored AMTRAK operation. This seem quite nonsensical to me. States own highways but take no responsibility if a defective roadway or traffic signal is directly responsible for an accident. Yet there is no mandate that states become a highway transportation company. Or is this a way to somehow punish Indiana?
