Hornby Locomotive power packs?

Quick question guys?

Does Hornby Locomotives need a special power pack or can they run on your standard MRC power pack to make them run here in North America?

I think Hornby makes both AC and DC models. The DC models will run okay on a U.S. power pack.

Sorry, no AC models from Hornby, just DC. You are safe to use your MRC power pack!

A word of caution, Hornby does make HO scale live steam models. The power packs for these are NOT compatable with standard DC models, nor can these live steam models be run with a standard DC pack.
