Houston sunrise

Ed Blysard sent me these dynamite shots.

WOW. Very cool, Ed![8D][bow][:)][tup]

WOW!!!

Excellent job ED!!!

I think those are worthey of RP.net [:P]

I could have caught a magnificent sunset tuesday night, but alas, I had to work.

Ed’s photographic work is impressive, right up there with his ability to keep a yard fluid.

Fantastic!! Ed you really know how to get the best from a camera.

Ed and ilk - Gorgeous shots!!

The Ilk thank you…
But the real credit should go to Mother Nature…it really was that orange and red, almost fluorescent…when I walked out in the yard, my first thought was someone finally flipped the switch!
Second thought was Shell, Lubrizol or BP had blown up another refinery!

It’s hard to believe it’s not photoshoped, but I belive you Ed. I remember one time when I lived near Palm Springs after a storm rolled through seeing blue, red, green, yellow, purple…basicaly all the main colors in the sky at the same time. But by the time I got my camera out they were not all visible anymore. It was just too wild to believe.

“Red skies in the morning, sailor’s warning. Red skies at night, sailor’s delight.” Did bad weather follow? Just curious.

It was below freezing when I took that, our first freeze of the year, in fact.
Was beautiful all morning, warmed up to the middle 60s, then around 1pm…Big time thunderstorms till 6 that evening…cleared out by 6:30…and haven’t rained a drop since!

Welcome to Texas!

Ed

So the old adage was right. [:)] For those who haven’t heard it before, red skies at sunrise forecasts stormy weather; red skies at sunset forecasts calm weather.
