It’s off it’s hinges and i’m debating whether to fix it as it may add to the authenticty if left in a state of disrepair
I would show a “in the process of fixing”, having someone looking at it, with a tool box beside them. A tool box would be simple to scratch build, as you don’t need to show the inside… Unless you were wanting to.

This is a shot of Cass WV. We stayed in one of these ‘company’ houses about 20 years ago. They are very similar to my mom’s home in South Fork PA. If you google earth that town, they have fixed up the old houses a bunch.
There are a few of these left in MT Hope a small town close to Thurmond but are single story
