Houston's SJMRRC 2009 Fall Layout Tour 11/7/09 (picture intense)

Hi guys,

Knowcents, Rich, and me left around 8:30 AM and went up to Aggieland today to visit 5 layouts on the SJMRRC’s fall home layout tour in the Bryan / College Station Texas area. Here are some photos of what we saw. They were some nice layouts to say the least. We also went up to Hearne Texas and checked out the two diamonds in the area but didn’t photograph them.

First layout on the tour was the N scale Agtrak club layout at Paul P’ house

Our next stop was the Brazos Valley RR Club’s HO layout. (Sorry i didn’t get pictures of that fantastic bridge, they came out too blurry.)

Hey, Chuck!

Thanks for coming up yesterday. It was great to meet you guys in person! [:)]

Which bridge were you talking about there, the one over the yard, or the lift bridge across the entrance?

As far as the Black Widow caboose, that was actually owned by the guy who was helping Fred out this weekend…Fred actually only owns QA&P, Frisco, CB&Q, and a little ATSF equipment. He models what he saw on his home road.

Hope you guys enjoyed the tours! Hopefully next year we’ll be able to make it down to your neck of the woods when you guys are on the tour.

Pictures look great Chuck!! Had a great time.

Thanks for sharing Chuck. I love see other peoples layout so I can steal there ideas!

Missed you the Sunday before at The Marin County layout

but shot a short video. It doesn’t have any scenery yet

but it ran real smooth

It was tuff taking pictures cause the room was full of people

so i could only shoot one side

Hope to see you all on the 21st

Hello arjay,

The bridge I was talking about was on the section of yall’s layout on other side of the yard that came out of a tunnel and crossed the canyon. Although now that you mention it the lift bridge was pretty cool too!..chuck

Glad you liked it! [:)]
