Today Jeff (knowcents), Ron, Jason, and me went on the west side of Houston to visit some of today’s layouts on the SJMRRC tour. Here’s the pictures of what we saw.
Our first layout was Harry D’s Pecos River railroad in N scale.
Our next stop was over to Terry H’s (our own C&Ofan’s) HO layout.
Nice job on the engine house office.
We were getting real hungry by now viewing all the great MRR action so then we went an
Great to see You guys! Hope you enjoyed your visit
and thanks for sharing the pictures. I hope that you and
Jeff , Ron, and Jason, can come back for an ops session
I knew you’d like Mikes layout I love his backdrop paintings
and his signal system
Surprisingly for a rainy day it was wall to wall People
a group from the San jac club came by giving lots of praises
They thought my structure building was top notch
They were trying to get me to join the NMRA Saying I could Pass
Structures and Scenery and get a golden spike whatever that is ?
after 4 hours I had to do some track cleaning on the bridge
But other than that it ran flawlessly for 6 hours
The Kids managed to couple two of the trains together in a rear end collision
but no harm done
Its a kid popular layout cause I let them run the trains and some don’t want to leave
two 8-10 yr old sisters stayed an hour having a ball they gave the horns a work out
Thanks for taking us along on the tour. It was great. I would have one request if at all possible. These 70 year old eyes have been using Tri-Focals for a number of years now, (like 30) and even when I click on the pictures to enlarge them, I find that they are just about the same size as in the thread and I can’t make out much detail. I realize that it may be an imposition to some on Dial-up, but could you post them at just a bit larger size than your usual posting size of 550X400.
Please keep the Pics. coming even if they can’t be made larger.
