To improve my service to my readers I am acting as my own Ombudsman here,(I also run trainmaps1 a yahoo group)…How can I improve my postings?

A post count or those goofy stars dont mean jack ____ if your just postin to post. A high number don’t make ya cool unless it’s useful info.
For example, I’ve been here sine the old forum but have a small amount of posts compared with truck forums I belong to. I make significantly more Ford forum related posts because I can give out way more truck info now than I’ll ever learn about trains.
It is perfectly fine to just sit back and read.

I post only when I think I have something of value to contribute to the topic at hand. I am a former railroader but my hat’s off to the fans on this forum for the amount of knowledge they have acquired and their willingness to share it.
