How bad are you getting hit at the pump?

Just curious what gas prices are like around the country (and world) these days. Here in San Diego we peeked at $3.40 a couple weeks back but it has slowly dropped to $3.19.

Here in Southeast NY, it is 3.12 for regular…I was out in Central Pennsylvania last weekend and the lowest I found there was 2.74…

Near Madison the average price for the cheap stuff is about 2.85, I’m paying about 2.95 for diesel fuel.

You talking high test or regular? Last night regular was $2.51 in Manchester, TN.
Regards! Michaelson

$2.629 for the state-subsidized gasohol here…

Yea, Regular.

It looks like we are still the worst.[:(!]

Indiana, $2.85 for premium, $2.75 for regular, 10 cent per gallon discount with my grocery store discount card.

So, I paid $2.75 for premium.

I bought some in Chula for $3.17. Lower, but still too high. [:(!]

All I know is that it used to cost me $40 to fill it, now its $60

…maybe time to trade in the big truck for a small truck…

$2.61 here in East Tenn.

I feel ya. My personal truck holds 50 gallons. That would be what, $160 to fill.[:(!]

Floatin around 2.80 currently, diesel is finally under three again. I just cut back on my soda intake and there is plenty of money from that to keep the fleet full.

Adrianspeeder

$2.60 in Northeast Georgia. (could be worse I guess)

What qualifies as regular? I love how Colorado newcasters always make us out to be lower than the country average. Never mind the fact that they’re comparing our regular (85 octane) to everyone else’s regular (87 octane…although I think Utah might be 85, too).

Just one of those curiosities of living in Colorado I guess. Kind of like having to read High Altitude directions when one cooks certain pre-packaged things.

$2.90 of Regular here in Rochester New York.

…On the way to lunch today…{Muncie, In.}…2.58 Returning from lunch: 2.84

This past holiday weekend in Somerset area, Pa. 2.83 -2.85…

2.69 in Sarasota FL for reg.

2.95 in Downers Grove…

We work within a mile of the house, gas is irrevelant to us. For now.

Having said that, we do fill the cars once a week. compared to last year’s prices and the year before that it is an increase of 10 dollars a tank, easily compensated by hand preparing our own food for work instead of buying lunches or snacks at work.

We do watch where we take the car, a trip to the LHS that might be weekly 2 years ago is only a monthly or is part of another trip like a doctors’ appointment in the same area. Purchases are planned months in advance.
