I have an E7A unit that runs quietly, and I have 2 E6 units and 2 E8/9 that are noisy. Any suggestions for reducing the noise?
What kind of noise are they making. All mine are very quiet. Check to see if the shell is on securely and mounted correctly. It maybe vibrating. Some P2K models have been also know to have gear problems. That may be another thing to look at.

My Proto 2000 E8 was a little noisy due to flywheel vibration. I solved it by rotating the flywheels on the motor shaft a little at a time until it ran smoother. Mark them with a felt pen and find a position that works.
Another option is to remove one flywheel as they are huge it will run just fine with only one.
Have you given any consideration to leaving them parked??? I discovered years ago that parked units make no noise at all!!!
