come on guys—what’s a little blizzard now and then. just look at is as one way of being able to spend more time here on the forums if you are snowed in[(-D]
[:I] Oh Marty - they would arrest you in LIncoln for running around in just a t-shirt. But if you want to post pictures, I am sure we would all take a look!
It was so freakin cold this weekend I had to break out the winter gear…because it was blocking some stuff in the garage I had to get to. Then I packed it neatly back into rubbermaid containers. Since its winter, I’ve been wearing my darker khaki shorts. The light ones don’t come out until easter. [:-^]
Mookie has thought for some time that the middle of the country - with it’s lack of moisture and really bone-chilling cold for extensive periods of time (like November to March) is fast becoming the desert of the nation. We are getting less and less moisture each year and our winters have been quite balmy. The snow we do manage to get it quite dry and unlike Colorado - we have a head start with our own sand pile up north.
See proves my point. The weather is shifting - from west to east. Eventually, we will be like California with desert (Nebraska) Mountains (Colorado) and all the horrible blizzards and awful weather we always had, will shift to the east.
California will not be needed any more, so, of course, will fall in the ocean…
Saturday it was 4 to 5 degrees (above) in the heart of the WV coalfields; started getting better yesterday p.m. and is lovely today - sunny and in the low 40’s; like to watch the snow melt, 'cause I don’t have to shovel.
In Delaware for 2003 we received 60 inches of rain. That’s 20 inches above normal. Several times we had bad flooding. One flood wiped out a local Tourist Line - Wilmington & Western. They are still rebuilding.
Who knows??? That’s up to my employer…my druthers would be to Virginia next…eventually, when I grow up and have to get a job…it will be to the heartland…the land of my heart…deep in the heart …Ed seems to be holding down the fort there for now…
