I have some heavy cardstock backdrops that I need to attached to artist board. I have considered white glue, spray adhesive, or rubber cement.
Which works best or are there other alternatives?
Thanks.

I would try spray adhesive. I’ve used it to attach posters to coloured cardstock and it works fine. WARNING: That stuff contains every toxic chemical known to mankind! I got a shock when I read the label and found out what’s in the can. Use it outdoors and downwind. I wouldn’t use white glue because it will soak into the paper. Rubber cement should work but it too will soak into the paper if applied too heavily. You can either put the sheets together while the cement is wet or apply it to both surfaces, wait for it to dry, then it behaves like contact cement.
Thanks, Bob If I have to spray it outdoors, it looks like I will be waiting until spring!

I use a spray adhesive by 3-m. You can get it at an office supply like Office Max or Staples.

Same here, I use spray adhesive, applied to both surfaces then slowly and carefully lay in place. Once they get together they don’t come apart.[}:)]
I also had good luck with the water based spray adhesive (I used Elmer’s). The attached the card stock to the wall with double sided carpet tape. I can’t believe the difference a nice backdrop makes! Well worth the effort.
