How do I contact anybody about updating my profile.

I’ve been trying to find some contact info to find out why I can’t update my profile.So far I have found no place to do that.Anybody have any ideas?

Try contacting Steven Otte directly. To do that, go to the top of the General Discussion thread listings and click on Steven’s picture. That will bring up a screen which has a ‘Start Conversation’ option in the upper right corner. Click on that and send him your message. He always responds.

Updating a profile is easy. You need a time machine to travel back to an earlier version of the forum software, and there the profile stuff works and you can enter what you want.

Or you could find your picture in the right column above the advertizments and click on “Manage Profile”. Leastwise that seems to work.

If that does not work, visit the TRAINS forum and do it from there.

LION wishes that people woud get some real avatars for their profiles.

Sounds like You may have a browser compatability issue or something need’s to be updated.

A suggestion: On the top right green box, where it says Welcome, Your Name, under Your name is ‘‘Update Your settings’’ click on that and it will take You to Your info…again on the top right box, You will see, ‘‘Having trouble logging on?’’ under that line You will see a question, ‘‘Cookies enabled?’’ click on that and it will give Your browser a compatability check and tell You what may be wrong…You should have all green circles, for the site to function properly…if not all green, it will explain.

Nothing works.I guess I’ll just stay in my mid 60s.

Were You able to do the test? What has changed since You added Your avatar…obiviously, it had to work when You did that. You are not saying what You are using. I suspect a Java script error…do You know what You are running…what version? Sorry…no one will be able to help You unless You provide more info.

No test,it does not show on screen.I’m running IE 8 for the time being with all the current updates.I’m not changing brousers.

I did finally figure out a way to contact Steven and the magazine crew online department is working on it.
