I loaded Internet explorer 8 and hate it now I want internet explorer 7 how do I do this. I went to the website and it said I couldn’t because I had a newer version.

Use Google to find a Windows site that discusses IE issues.

Go to a web site such as Major Geeks and find IE7. Download and save it to your hard drive. Then go to Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs, and delete IE8. Reboot, then run and install the downloaded IE7

IE8 is not a program to Microsoft; it’s an “Update”. To uninstall Internet Explorer 8, go to Control Panel, and click on Uninstall Programs link or Programs and Features icon. Then on Tasks pane on the left, click on View installed updates link. Locate and select Windows Internet Explorer 8 in the list of installed updates, and then click on Uninstall button. Click on Yes when asked that are you sure want to uninstall the update.

firefox is so much better than IE
Amazing. I went to IE8 when it came out, no problems, many new features such as tabbed browsing. No conflicts with any sites either. Must be something else wrong somewhere.
You are I betcha’–who says that?–using Windows Vista and I ran into the same problem so I got ahold of Microsoft Customer Service at 1-800-936-5700 and they walked me through the procedures. If you are using Vista then IE7 is part of your package but you are going to have to uninstall IE8 before you can get there.
To uninstall IE8 FROM WINDOWS VISTA you first go to your CONTROL PANEL from the start screen; select PROGRAM; VIEW INSTALLED UPDATE; look through the accompanying table and find IE8 and hit the UNINSTALL button; follow the onscreen instructions for shutting down your machine; when you have restarted go to MSN.COM and go up to the very end of the tool bar where you will find the word 'tools"–just to the right you will find a “»” symbol; click on this and click on HELP and then ABOUT INTERNET EXPLORER; if you have not destroyed the world by this time you should get a screen titled INTERNET EXPLORER7.
NOTE: if you do destroy the world I will never forgive you!
I can answer this question: IE8 is still in what they call Beta 2 Testing; it may work with some things but it sure as aitch ain’t workin’ with the new forum software!
Thanks for the help guys. I am running xp and it was doing funny stuff like double loading pics on ebay and running really slow. I hope this resolves the problems.

IE 8 is working just fine with the forum software.
Just curious, but how is tabbed browsing better than using multiple windows in IE? Same question for Firefox if anyone knows.
Same here. I am running Vista with IE8 and have had no problems with the new forum software.
