How do you feel about GRAFFITI on trains?

Now that they are tagging locomotives maybe someone will take notice, I had a talk with railway police about the amount of damage to equipment ,I then asked when was the last time they arrested and charged a tagger, he said a month ago and the first one this year, he also responded with “we can’t be everywhere” so the railways don’t seem to be taking the problen very seriously and the taggers know this, it’s defacing, destroying, expensive to repair, dangerous, and against the law, they should put their talents to better use.

Don’t get us started. It ain’t pretty…

Absolute crap. They don’t pay for a lot of that paint either. I’ll bet most of the vandalls don’t paint their vehicles that way either.

[#ditto]Up here in Duluth,MN, I have seen vandalls just walk into the BNSF’s Rice Point yard and tag cars, no locomotives yet, but its a shame.

I HATE IT!

And the so called murals I see on many buildings is, as far as I’m concerned, more of the same.

I think graffiti is horrible and the vandals should be shot on sight. If the taggers want to express themselves like such, then they should do it on thier own property. Maybe if like in the big cities they couls start a program where they could do the painting, legally. Kind of like murals painted on the side of buildings. But it would need to have limits on what thype of material was painted, not just a tag like they put on everything.

On some cars it does help cover the RUST![:D][8D][;)][:p]

Pretty much the way I feel about warm beer, wet toilet paper and smart asses! I don’t like it.

Why do you think NS started to run their locos in primer…

FREE PAINT YAY!

Some of it shows a great deal more imagination rhan the new BNSF logo, I’ll say that much.

But, in general, all graffitti is bad…

I agree with arbfbe

Humm.
How would you feel if someone spray painted your Lexus?

They cost a lot less that a railcar!

Ed

How about we hire snipers instructed to shoot taggers on sight? Two or three in every rail yard should do it!

OK, OK, I’m not serious, but on the other hand, I’ll bet the problem would vanish rather quickly…

Tagging is vandalism, pure and simple, and should be treated as such[:(!]!Put them in jail,or make them clean the graffiti off city buildings[:(!]!

Alot of their artwork is very artistic, but I wonder why they don’t sign up for an art class of some sort? It puzzles me.

I can’t stand it! No matter how you look at it, it’s still vandalism, plain and simple!

Maybe, you can stop the vandals if you can convince them some how, to use their skills on something creative, like an art class. Maybe then, the vandalism would stop. Did you ever think of that?

I didn’t realize how big of a deal it was until I saw graffiti decals for model trains. Just like any other act of vandalism, the perpetrators should be held accountable. Maybe a few Saturdays at the railroad yard hand-washing freight cars would teach them a lesson.

I hate it,I hate it alot. I looks realy Dumb and very stupid.
