How do you post images in the forum?

There must be a thread somewhere, but darned if I can find it.

Very simple. Subscribe to a photo hosting site like Photo bucket. There are four links. Use the bottom link. IMG. Copy and paste it into a message.

First thing to understand. This forum does NOT accept photos. You have to upload your photo to some other website. I use Photobucket, but others ought to work. From this photo website, you need to get the Uniform Resource Locator (URL), the internet address for your photo.

Then in this website, cs.trains.com, click on the insert image icon. Bottom row, next to a chain link icon, has mountain view cartoon in it. This icon has a “source” fill in box. Put the URL of your photo into the “source” box and click OK. That’s it.

Review the Thread in General Discussion, ‘‘Editing Photo Descriptions’’ started two days ago. It will tell you how to do it and add text to your photos. Still going on.

And I just added a comprehensive, hopefully, description of the process once your photo is uploaded to Photobucket.
