I feel really dumb right now. I can not see what is holding the shell on this HO engine ! There appears to be places in the frame where there might be screws … but there aren’t any. Prying on the sides of the shell didn’t really net any results either !
What am I missing ???

If my memory serves me remove the fuel tank and the screws are located inside.
Ok - Dumb question number two (before I break something) - what holds the fuel tank on ?

As I recall you just grip the sides and wiggle it off.

Mark, you did not say if it is a Proto 1000 or 2000 and what kind of F unit it is?
On my Proto 1000 F3 A’s you take off the front coupler and spread the shell and shake it a little.
