How many road names do you run?

This is my first poll posting, so if I do it wrong please don’t be too mean:)

Cotton Belt, Missouri Pacific, and my own Texas and St. Louis

P.S. COOL LAYOUT Kent [8D][8D][8D]

Two, the Southern and the L&N. My railroad is set in southwest North Carolina in the late '40’s so both roads are appropriate for the time and place.

Whatever I see on the prototype, plus whatever tickles my fancy. I got a sweet deal on an Athearn PS 5244 boxcar in B&M, and it’s gonna get the “Mike Rose Treatment” ™!

One plus to modelling a regional or a shortline - you can have all kinds of cool paint schemes!

I model the C&O and my own Short line the Columbus & Hocking Valley…I also have 2 IHB engines and 2 R.J.Corman locomotives I picked up on a whim…That is to say I had no use for them but bought them anyway( a little bit of a collector in me?)…These locos is hardly used.

It depends on the best price I can find on a quality item. I try to target N&W as my primary road, but am unwilling (and unable) to shell out a great deal of money to get exactly what I want. So instead of a pair of N&W SD-35’s, I get a pair of ACL SD-35’s at a price that I could not get close to with N&W - and so ACL becomes another roadname running on my layout.

I think being too picky just costs too much. [:D]

Maybe I shoulda gone for 6+, however, my primary roads consists of my home road in Central ‘Orygun’, the Great Northern and Wobbly. Espee has a one o’ day run through and I also created a short line feeder connection. And, well, then there is my daughter’s ‘Chessie’ stuff - - - - - -

Right now I just run two - Union Pacific and Santa Fe. In the future I plan to run my own version of the Rio Grande as well. In addition to modeling multiple roads, I’m also thinking about modeling different eras as time goes on.

I model the Rock Island in the 70’s and my Sioux City & New Orleans RR. Dan

Mainly BN but also MRL, Amtrak and just a little Santa Fe. NO BNSF!!!

Oh I forgot, I have German railway stuff too!

I model the NYC and the New Haven, but not McGinnis. I also enjoy German RRing too.[:D]

Basically two, Great Northern down the woods to Beiber and the interchange with Western Pacific up from Keddie wye and yard.

I model CB&Q and Amtrak inthe late 50 & larely 60.

I model the C&O jointly with my free-lanced Newport News & Western on one shared route.
