Just curious to know how many Model Railroaders from this forum live near me (Fountain Valley Ca.) I would love the opportunity to visit a layout or conduct some interchange operation.

I grew up admiring that layout as a kid. When I was a kid, it was all scratchbuilt loco’s & rolling stock - pretty crazy.

I live in Riverside and have an L-shaped N-scale layout under costruction. Era, well somewhere between the 60’s to the mid 70’s. It was progressing nicely but its just too hot to go into the garage right now. I runs well and I have a NCE Powercab for control.
I too have been looking for some help on operating the layout. When the yard is complette I will make up a schedule and have a car forewarding system. See my link below my signature if interested. I would love to have a round robin type group, and we could interchange traffic with those of the same scale.
I had the privelage to operate Wit Towers Alturas and Lonepine and learned much from WIt and those I operated with. Funny my group never advance to using any kind of car forewarding system but we had a blast. This, to me, is the ultimate. A seasoned railroader sharing his empire to teach and of course get some good laughs in.

I live in Orange just east on the 22 from you. I always enjoy the pictures of your layout. You do a great job. I do HO and am just starting again after many years away from the hobby. I only have a small layout about 4x7. Perhaps we could get together some time. …Bill
